MobileTime: Mobile Time Tracking News and Tips

Welcome to the modern age of labor time tracking. No longer are businesses tethered to paper timesheets and punch cards, endless corrections and hours of payroll processing. Now your company can access the time clock anywhere at anytime with mJobTime's mobile time tracking software. Punch Clocks of Yesterday With paper timesheets your certainty is limited and ineffective; accuracy depends in large part to who's clock you're relying upon, and by trusting your team members to consistently manage their efforts. You're taking the focus off the bigger responsibility of producing for your company.Inevitably people will forget to write things down or punch in/out, leaving records incomplete and inaccurate, which leads to much larger challenges when working with billable time and cost tracking analysis. Additionally, digital punch clockcapabilities are limited by the manufacturer's software and there are no customizations for your specific business needs. Does it work with my accounting software? How often they ever release updates? Who knows?

Since the time that Apple and Google have become dominant players in technology, there has been the argument of which strategy is better – having near total control of your product or taking a “giving the keys to the car” approach. Steve Jobs, the legendary founder and CEO of Apple was well known for his laser like focus. He first used it on the Apple I personal computer and its subsequent iterations, then on the iPod, iPhone, and iPad. Job’s philosophy was that brilliance was achieved through simplicity.  He also believed that his products would be more dependable if he had complete control of their environment.
Imagine this... You have mJobTime exporting your labor timesheet information directly to your accounting software. You have a seamless process for payroll operations, and you've just paid your labor force for the 50th time this year. With two weeks left in the calendar year, your company suffers a huge blow with a tragic fire that destroys your offices, computers, and laptops.
New feature allows employees to check hours worked from their personal mobile devices mJobTime Corporation announces the addition of an employee time portal to their industry leading mobile time tracking software. This innovative new feature allows individual employees to access the mJobTime Web Edition to review their hours worked. Using a personal identification number (PIN) to log in, employees can view, print, or email their hours for any week or two week period, all without the need for a user license.
The most time intensive part of running any business is managing human resources. Finding and keeping good, quality employees takes energy, but it pays off when your staff is happy. Happy crews lead to quality work, accurate labor time, and less staff turnover. Here are some ways to help ensure that you are placing your efforts in the right places.
The other day, a fairly large prospective customer asked one of our sales staff to send them an email with a brief statement as to why the prospect should choose mJobTime. In most cases, it is very hard to state the differences between you and the competition in a brief statement.  There can be many reasons why – some obvious, some not so apparent. I would like to use this post to try to detail the main differences we see between mJobTime and our competitors.  First, the less obvious.  Call it our company culture if you will, but I think it is our philosophy for managing a software company.
mJobTime will be exhibiting at the World of Concrete 2015 in Las Vegas next month and we thought we would use this opportunity to talk about a promising technology for reducing carbon emissions that just so happens to have its beginnings in the cement industry. The production of cement requires huge amounts of energy. Making cement requires heating limestone with small quantities of other materials to approximately 2,600 degrees Fahrenheit.  This produces a tremendous amount of CO2. Making one ton of cement results in the emission of roughly one ton of CO2—and in some cases much more. Since current worldwide production of cement is approximately 4 billion tons per year, there are at least 4 billion tons of annual CO2 emissions. This represents about 5% of all man-made CO2 emissions globally of which approximately 50% is from the chemical process and 40% from burning fuel.
